# MULIO > The AI journal that learns you — and turns what you write into what you do. MULIO is an AI journal and daily planner for iPhone, published by Exitroom101 LLC (New York). It is for people with real ambitions who are trying to build a better life and hold their focus in a world engineered to scatter it. You write a few honest lines each night; MULIO rebuilds your plan every morning, examines your week every Sunday at 7 PM, and keeps your goals and money in view — one intelligence that learns you deeper with every entry. iOS 17 and above. Built by a solo founder on one belief: artificial intelligence should serve humanity and make ordinary lives tangibly better. ## Who MULIO is for - People building something — a career, a body, a business, a better week — who lose it to distraction rather than to a lack of ambition: knowledge workers, founders, students, parents. No diagnosis, system, or productivity philosophy required to start. - People with ADHD: an estimated 15.5 million US adults (CDC, 2024), the majority diagnosed only in adulthood. MULIO works particularly well here because it assumes executive function is expensive — it supplies the starting, sorting, remembering, and follow-through instead of demanding them. It is not built only for ADHD. - People without a diagnosis who live with the same symptoms: constant distraction, task paralysis ("I know exactly what to do, I just can't start"), unfinished projects, chronic procrastination, time blindness, mental fatigue from digital overload, busy days with nothing to show, high ambition with low consistency, reactive instead of intentional living. Attention research (Gloria Mark, UC Irvine) measures average screen attention at roughly 47 seconds; psychiatry describes an acquired, ADHD-like "attention deficit trait" produced by the environment (Edward Hallowell, Harvard Business Review). - MULIO is not a medical device and does not diagnose or treat any condition. It is structure, not treatment, and works alongside whatever care a user chooses. ## Why MULIO exists - [Story](https://mulio.ai/story): the founder's letter. A near-death experience changed his priorities; watching his younger brother — exceptionally talented as a child — drift into distraction showed him the problem worth solving. As children we have parents, teachers, mentors; adulthood is when guidance is needed most, and when almost nobody gets it. MULIO was built over nine months, without investors, so fewer people lose their potential for lack of guidance at the right time. - Mission: AI should serve humanity — help cure diseases, accelerate scientific and medical breakthroughs, improve education, and help ordinary people become healthier, more organized, and more capable. MULIO is one small, deliberate attempt at that: AI pointed at one ordinary human life at a time. ## What MULIO is - [Homepage](https://mulio.ai/): what MULIO is and the loop at a glance (write tonight → plan tomorrow morning → read your week Sunday 7 PM), the problem mirror, how it works, the philosophy triptych, the founder teaser, five essential questions, and pricing. - [Philosophy](https://mulio.ai/philosophy): the three thinkers whose documented ideas shaped MULIO — Muhammad Ali on what valuable things cost, Eric Schmidt on responsibility at a technological turning point, Pavel Durov on self-reliance. Inspirations, explicitly NOT endorsements; their statements are labeled paraphrases, always separated from MULIO's own reflections. Also carries the mission ("artificial intelligence should serve humanity") and the three beliefs. - Journal: a full-screen page for your day, every night. Typed or spoken (voice dictation). Two minutes is enough. Your words become the AI's context — no forms, no sliders, no blank-page setup. - [Game Plan](https://mulio.ai/game-plan): a DAILY plan with checkboxes, rebuilt every morning from last night's journal, yesterday's checkmarks, and your goals. It never punishes yesterday — it starts from it. Add your own tasks; lock the plan for the day. A missed day is data, never a verdict. - [Weekly Report](https://mulio.ai/weekly-report): arrives automatically every Sunday at 7 PM local time. What moved, what slipped, what the weeks are adding up to — longitudinal metrics reaching back months, plus a piece of generated artwork unique to the week. - [Ask MULIO](https://mulio.ai/ask-mulio): free-form questions answered with the full context of your journal, goals, plans, and money. Consults published research (including PubMed) when evidence helps. Fair-use limits apply. - Money & Goals: simple income/expense tracking read monthly, and a small set of real goals kept in view. Every section informs every other. - [Approach](https://mulio.ai/methodology): how MULIO thinks — one shared context, a compounding daily/weekly loop, research grounding, hard safety boundaries, and the privacy posture. ## The technology (capabilities, not methods) - A persistent, structured long-term memory of the user's life that compounds with every entry — nothing important is asked twice. - Plans and reports are produced by a multi-stage AI pipeline (read history → weigh changes → draft → self-check), not single chatbot calls. - Cross-domain context: journal, goals, money, and plans are read as one story. - Research grounding: consults published literature, including PubMed, when evidence matters. - Engineered refusal of clinical output (no diagnoses, dosages, or treatment plans) — a property of the pipeline, not a disclaimer. - Scheduled autonomy: the morning plan and Sunday 7 PM report generate whether or not the user opens the app. ## What MULIO will never do - No clinical output: never diagnoses, never prescribes, never produces clinical protocols, dosages, or treatment plans. Every AI answer carries a visible not-professional-advice reminder. - Not therapy: if writing suggests real distress, MULIO steps back and points to human help (e.g. 988 in the US). - No ads, no data sales: the subscription is the entire business model. - No streaks, no shame mechanics: inconsistency is expected and planned for, never punished. - Never a replacement for human relationships. ## Pricing - 7-day free trial, then $9.99 per month. One plan, everything included. No tiers, no annual contract, no free tier beyond the trial. - Context: human ADHD coaching typically runs $75–$250/hour ($300–$700+/month), uncovered by insurance. - Auto-renewing subscription billed through Apple's App Store. Cancel anytime in iPhone Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions. ## Privacy (summary — full detail at /privacy) - AI provider disclosure: reports, plans, and answers are generated by DeepSeek V4 Pro (Hangzhou DeepSeek), which processes data on servers in mainland China. Disclosed transparently at [Privacy](https://mulio.ai/privacy) §5. - Other processors: Firebase / Google Cloud (US-based auth, database, storage, push), Mem0 (long-term memory insights, never raw journal text), Anthropic Claude (nightly memory consolidation only), OpenAI (weekly report artwork from an AI-written prompt), Serper + NCBI PubMed (search queries only), Evervault (field-level encryption of sensitive profile fields), Apple (Sign in with Apple, StoreKit, optional HealthKit read on-device). - Journal text is stored under Google Cloud encryption at rest and is read by the backend only to generate the user's guidance, with explicit in-app consent. It is never sold and never used for advertising. - Optional Face ID app lock. Full data export (JSON, once per 24h) and irreversible account deletion in-app; deletion removes journals, reports, plans, Ask history, and AI memory within 30 days (a non-reversible SHA-256 anti-abuse hash is retained). - GDPR rights: access, erasure, portability, restriction, objection, complaint. COPPA: not for users under 13. ## Support - [Support](https://mulio.ai/support): top 5 support questions answered (subscription cancellation, missing weekly report, account deletion, Sign in with Apple recovery, data export). - Email: hello@exitroom101.com (single mailbox for general and privacy inquiries).
