I didn’t set out to build another AI app.

What I believe about artificial intelligence

We are living through the arrival of the most powerful tool humanity has ever built. And I believe, with everything I have, that this tool has exactly one legitimate purpose: to serve human beings.

AI should help us cure diseases. It should help eliminate poverty, teach every child well, and give ordinary people capabilities that used to belong only to the privileged. That is the future worth building.

What it must not become is one more instrument of concentration — a tool for the wealthy to accumulate more wealth, for politicians to entrench their power, for authoritarian governments to watch and control the people they should be serving. It must not fuel wars or quietly manipulate societies. Technology is not neutral; it becomes whatever its builders point it at.

I am one small builder. I cannot decide what the giants point their models at. But I could decide what I pointed mine at — and I chose the most ordinary, most neglected problem I know: a person, alone, trying to figure out their life.

My brother

I built MULIO after watching my younger brother go through the same struggles I once did.

As a child he was exceptionally talented — the kind of kid adults noticed. And then, like so many young people today, he gradually became distracted. He lost direction. The endless supply of short-term pleasure slowly crowded out the long, patient work that growth actually requires.

None of that is a verdict on him. It is what happens, to millions of people, when talent meets a world engineered to distract it — and no one is standing in their corner.

That is the part that stays with me: how many people around us could have lived completely different lives if someone had guided them at the right moment. As children we have parents, teachers, mentors. Then adulthood arrives — the years when we become responsible for our decisions, our careers, our health, our relationships, our future — and that is precisely when the guidance stops.

Adulthood is when we need it most. And adulthood is when almost nobody gets it.

What MULIO is — and what it is not

MULIO is my attempt to stand in that gap: an intelligent companion that pays attention every single day.

You write a few honest lines about your day. Every morning, MULIO rebuilds your plan from what you wrote, what you finished, and what you are aiming at. Every Sunday evening, it sits down with your week and takes it seriously — what moved, what slipped, what the weeks are quietly adding up to. It remembers your goals, your money, your intentions, so its guidance is about your life, not generic advice.

And there are things MULIO will never be. It is not a therapist, and it will never pretend to be one — it gives no diagnoses, no clinical instructions, and if you are in crisis it will point you to real human help. It is not a replacement for the people in your life; nothing should be. Its whole purpose is the opposite — to help you think more clearly, act more deliberately, and show up better for the people who matter to you.

It will never show you ads, and it will never sell what you write. You pay a small subscription; in return, the product answers to you and to no one else.

Nine months

I spent nine months building MULIO, alone, with no investors. I built it for one person: someone like my brother, opening the app on an ordinary Tuesday night, writing honestly about a mediocre day, and waking up to a plan that treats tomorrow as worth doing well.

MULIO was created in the hope that fewer people will lose their potential simply because they lacked the right guidance at the right time.

That is the whole company. That is the whole point.
